The Winter Challenge, (motivation, confidence building, routine, fun)

When she's not in season I have a new sheet to try on. Not totally sure how the straps will fit our saddle, but I will try.

I have wanted a mixed colour set up for a while.

Had the bright idea of using an umbrella for 'stand under something Sunday' seeing as we're confined to quarters due to ice and it's all I had to hand.

Limited success, not quite there, but it isn't Sunday yet. Although tomorrow's forecast is for snow, sleet and rain in that order, so although an umbrella might be appropriate, abandoning the match may be more so.

What I did learn today is that it's incredibly difficult for an oldie like me to coordinate rope, phone and umbrella to get a photo or selfie of the event ..

The Sunday Surprise for tomorrow is pick up sticks.
Just place what you find anywhere and lead, stand or ride over

I still haven't ridden so not done the under something sheet yet.
I can't recall when I last rode but she's been out and seen the farrier. He said her hooves were looking really good and I don't use the boots for anything other than ridden now.

That pile could be a jump as well as the sticks hopefully.
I have little blocks and she usually makes an effort even if it's teeny

It must have been agony, even the concussion of his feet hitting something must have made his legs sore. Very late to the party, but here is Fuzzy happily placing her foot on my garden kneeling pad (which doesn't get much use because I always forget it!). I think she was keen to get out else I'd have been more adventurous and tried some other stuff. It was over her "time" for being out and about today.

There is no rush, deadline, pressure need to do everything.

I usually turn away in January. One thing and another plus even though she's just hacking it's good for them to have a break from what work they do do.
