Heatwaves, and the next one

In front of our house is a bit of a suntrap, but out there was reading 42.5 at 2pm!!!!!!!
37.3 was the official temperature here today, my car still said 37 at 5pm, it was a sucky day to be outside working all day 
though the big horses chose to go out and graze in the hottest part of the day! The little boys stood near the mister most of the day, they’re not silly!

I actually burned the soles of my feet yesterday, had to nip into the garden (south facing) for something so stupidly went barefoot. Literally ten steps across the patio and back. Ouch! To top it off I got bitten by a mozzie despite my best efforts and now my lower leg is swollen, hot and sore despite antihistamine, I hate mozzies.

she has been enjoying getting hosed three times a day though, fist day I had to hold her, now she just sees the hose and stands waiting for her shower.
I have actually done exactly this on the beach one year.
I had blisters on the soles of my feet in just that short time it took to discover the sand was burning and I put my footwear back on.
I have also had to remove the crocs that seem to be all the rage still, they are rubber and that will also burn skin.
Sounds awful hot down south. Burning feet reminds me of Vegas. I'll never forget crossing the road (they are so busy you have to stand for ages at pedestrian lights) and feeling like someone was pricking the backs of my legs with needles, it was just the heat! Talk about burning.
Today is quite warm for us up here, but thankfully a lovely strong wind which stops it from feeling too hot. I will send cooling vibes to you all.

LOL I am feeling the heat in the house and so checked the weather app. Hahahhaaa, its a whopping 15 degrees here today. Oh dear. I have become acclimatised to it after ten years. 
Do NOT go to southern England at the moment @Trewsers ! Or indeed Zurich, though at least we have aircon at the hotel.
One of my apps is saying in the 20s this week then back up in the 30s the next week.
Oh my. If it gets any higher than it is here today I will expire for sure. The house is boiling. I am wandering the yard without a jacket or gilet. Too hot for wellies lol short boots only! Fuz is like me and hates the heat. She couldn't wait to come up for a snooze inside.
I really feel for you all. An ambient 15 today. T-shirt weather sometimes.

No no no no no, I've had enough now, in fact I'd had enough days ago. I really hope they're wrong.
I've just gone out for a dog walk and to check sheep. Left it till after 9pm. Its so humid ive come back sweating. Was hoping the fact its supposed to be cooler tomorrow that this evening would feel pleasant. Nope.
The grass is already starting to parch here and the ground is like rock.
It's way to much for me @Frances144 , I've not long got in and my car was reading 32c parked in the shade plus there's almost no breeze. Luka is loving it, strutting his stuff big time - it tires me out just watching him!
A fortnight ago I went to do a new job. Embarrassing when the sweat is dripping from your chin. Running down your front cleavage. I thought thank goodness it won't be as hot next time I go. Oh dear I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. More sweat dripping. But I will head to the supermarket straight after work and get some ice-cream if there's any left.
I've actually been coping reasonably well. I've been inside during the hot part of the day. Getting up early to do the animals and not going out till after 8pm to do the rest.
