December Chit Chat

It is really mild up here. We had a gorgeous sunset - wish I'd taken a pic or two. But the days are seeming so short atm. I seem to get up, enjoy doing the horses and cats, eat breakfast, do a bit of work and then I'm putting lamps on in every room!

I miss the sunsets during the summer because it's in the wrong place.
I just noticed I have the sun shining out of her bottom.
It makes up for the fact I have spent yet another afternoon putting the fencing back up.
We had this issue last year, she's not pushing through for more grass, she's pushing back where she's come from because she's not sure of the corner.
Fair enough. Poop by the muck heap please there's a poppet.

What a horrid day, sorry to whine but I’ve had enough. We’ve lived here now for almost two years, no issue, quietly minding our own, being pleasant with neighbours and all has been fine.
A few months ago next door bought a puppy, we’ve had words about it digging under our fence and chewing through our electrics, we’ve had words about it jumping up our car and scratching the paintwork and we’ve had words about it’s constant barking while they are out at work all day. Not nasty, just a polite word. Now, we’ve got door slamming, loud music all hours, griping about our parking (in our parking spaces) and today she’s having a rant about how one of our spaces is actually theirs and they’ll park in it if they want!
It isn’t theirs, it never has been, the contractors painted the wrong numbers in one space and instead of removing the old number they just painted the correct number over the top. I know all this because I was the sales negotiator on site at the time, plus I’ve got the red edge plan.
I’ve just had enough today 🙁

Oh heck, sorry you're having a bad day. I don't blame you for feeling down about it - whinge away! Some people are a right old pain aren't they. That's not on the pup chewing your wiring and scratching the car. Folk shouldn't let their animals damage other people's stuff - it really annoys me. If they've anything about them they'll apologise - though people rarely do! Knickers to them. Like you say, you know what's yours and what isn't - specially if you have the site plan. Having said that, I feel your pain. I had years of a neighbour who, despite being given the plan from the Land Registry and having a boundary pointed out in black and white, still felt they could dump crap / leaves / builders rubble on our land. There is just no telling some folk. Sending some cheery vibe to you. xx

Well it is going dark here. The days are getting so short. I've been doing a chore-a-thon, as it's bed changing day. And mr trews has been cooking and preparing a chicken curry for tonight, so now the kitchen will need cleaning. I've also done what feels like a thousand wash loads and been trying to find places to dry it!

Noisy neighbours that are disrespectful of others are the worst.
They are obviously going all out to annoy you @Kite_Rider and I can only hope they get bored.
It is possible to contact someone about getting the numbers done currently? Explain about your neighbour behaviour. Then you have something in writing.

I’m in trouble with Robin. When I went to get him in he was standing at the fence watching a field down the road. 2 horses with big piles of hay and 2 people pulling electric fencing about. I’m not sure which part he was watching! I put headcollor on and started to walk. No movement. “Come on dude let’s go”. “Honestly mother, you are so RUDE. I am busy WATCHING”. I have been told before that watching is a very important pastime. I was suitable ashamed of myself.

We probably could get the numbers re done, no dea what it would cost though 😕 I think I’m letting it get to me more than usual because of all the stress with MIL too, poor Mr KR I’ve never seen him so stressed/miserable.

Oddly Belle could not wait to come in tonight, she’s getting soft in her old age, I’ve never known her be in a rush to get in, usually she much prefers to be out. It had gone very chilly today though, the wind was nasty cold 🥶

Thank you Trewsers, no, they’ll never apologise, not the sort, they don’t take any pride in their home, garden, cars or anything else and I get the feeling they just don’t understand why we’re upset about it. Hey ho, nowt as queer as folk eh
