However, our welsh D is as laid back and safe as they come.
Definately NOT bolshly/bargy/highly strung AT ALL.
Ditto, I have 2 sec D mares, the first I bought 9 years ago as a VERY green 6yr old, and the second I bought last year at 15yrs old.
Both are safe as houses, I can leave them for months, get on, and hack out. The newest one wasn't ridden for 12 months (thought she was infoal) and as soon as she was certified empty, on I got, not a flinch, nothing.
Some horses 'have' to be ridden several times a week, not my welshies, I thoroughly enjoy them and it's not a chore having them as I ride as and when I please.
Check out my website, to see others I have owned as youngsters over the years.
Missy, now 15 is in foal for next year, to the same stallion as Teabiscuit used, Derwen Trot On (thanks for sharing the pic, of all the foals I've seen this year, they've all been stamped with the dams colouring, so here's hoping for a black one)
