40 years ago now when I had my first flat in London (in Walthamstow, which was cheap), the neighbour's pretty fluffy little girl cat, who had been looking as if she had swallowed a football, chose our bed to have her teen bride kittens on. I remember it so well! She only managed 3, but they were little bruisers: two ginger boys and a tortie girl. Our neighbour was overwhelmed by the responsibility so we looked after the babycats and easily found homes for them all. They were called Chunky, Nutmeg and Smudge. I'll never forget how cute they were.

Tittens are gold dust up here. They sell before they're even born.

Wow not like that here. We had our Monster who died earlier this year - he was dumped on our doorstep. And prior to him we inherited Flatcat. And Mackeral became a regular and produced 6 kittens. I know the local Cats Protection people that helped me out and advised me were glad I wanted to keep them all. There always seems to be folk looking for homes for them here.
I got our two current kitties from a lady who'd moved into a smallholding and inherited a lot of cats with the outbuildings. She had them all neutered one by one but she still had several litters of kittens to find homes for. She was charging £25 per kitten. She didn't actually charge me that much as I was 'recommended' by a mutual friend - she just wanted to make sure the kits went to people who really wanted them.
The charities round here are overrun. I absolutely love the kittens but I'm still so sad that she's had them, it's very conflicting. Fostering is such a great way to experience it all without adding to the population.
This is little Pirate. They are all fast approaching or already over 250g, eyes open and starting to move about a little more. Pirate is my favourite I'd keep them if I could but it just isn't sensible and I know they will find homes instantly
Oh goodness me! Super cute. I would be hard pressed giving them up, but you are doing the right thing - and if they all find lovely homes it is the sensible thing to do. I was wondering how they were getting on this morning when I was sat with one of ours on my knee in the barn! I must show mr trews. He loves kittens.

They are all doing so well, all on their 3rd day of wormer today, that's fun trying to get them to take that.
4 out of 5 eating solids twice or 3 times daily. Little Pirate is not keen at all. I take him out and syringe a little food into his mouth and then he gets the idea but he will only eat on his own at the moment.
Mum is doing so well, still nursing them regularly and lots of play. They are little bundles of michief! They are alot of work with all the washing and tidying and socializing but worth it to see their happy little kitten playtime.
Oh @Ale thanks for posting this - I keep wondering how they are getting on. Such cuteness! I just showed mr trews. We love kittens lol They are gorgeous and mummy is so pretty isn't she. You are doing such a good job taking care of them all. Bet they are hard work, but totally worth it!
Minnie is honestly one of the prettiest cats I have ever seen. Those kittens will all find homes like lightning!
