Not happy

Only sure way to stop it is to get yourself a locked box. :(

Can you put a padlock on the box? If you got a combination lock you wouldn't have to faff about with keys.

Also, have a word with the YO and say stuff is going missing - if word gets out than hopefully who've it is will stop it.

Thats just out of bounds! And if I found out about it, Id want some cash handed over and a whole bundle of "Sorry"'s! How inconsiderate.... going into your poor pony's stable and getting her haynet, for crying out loud, heartless sod! Urgh! Hand me a punchbag anyday!

DEFINATELY speak to the YO as this really is not on, you don't buy stuff for your pony for other people to use and keep free of charge.

:mad:Vic:mad:

It is horrible isn't it, in the last few weeks a tub trug cover and a plastic curry comb have been taken from out of my box, really odd things to take with everything else in there. I'm getting a padlock too, hope you get it sorted.

Gosh, doesnt sound very uncommen then.... what happened to friendliness, true friendliness of the whole yard.:(

Ugh... I know exactly what you mean. It seems like things seem to sprout legs and walk off all the time at my stables. Although it didn't walk off, I had a three-fourths full fly spray $17.99 sitting outside Otto's stall that I forgot to put away for a few days as it was convenient to keep spraying him. When I went to go spray him again, I found that it was practically empty. It's so annoying when little things go missing because it all adds. I always have showsheen or shampoo walk off, especially at shows. Recently I lost a bucket with Otto's and my's name on the side and on the bottom. I haven't seen it and I can't figure out where it went. It's just frustrating. I probably will send an extra $100-$300 a year re-buying stuff I don't need too.

never seen so many angry faces vimto but that's how i feel espically when people are going inside somewhere thats only for two liveries, and its not as it i've misplaced it because my stable is practically next door amba's wall touches the cabin wall, :(

Lol I bet you haven't!;)

Its really such a shame, I hope the culprit stops or you find them at it..... woah... the embarrassment for them!:D

I used to hate that - I think it happens so regularly on livery yards - people 'borrow' things and don't realise the stress it causes, I don't mind anyone borrowing anything of mine as long as they put it back, which is sadly never the case :(

I've got my own yard now, so problem solved :D

Mmmmm know how you feel. Its annoying when you have to go hunting around the yard for your stuff. Never had a huge problem at old yard excpet for reins going missing

Yard I'm at now I have to hunt for my stuff, had someone change horses headpiece but left me with my own reins, martingale, and bit. Had feed go missing and someone took my stable rug from out of my box. Now I cant find Peters breastplate

Oh yes we are also allocated our own tack space in tack rooms but people just tend to walk in your tack room

A few years ago someone on the yard kept stealing my fly spray. It was costing me a fortune, I asked politely who was using it. No one would own up...I was really cross.

I took the bottle home and filled it with water and bright green vegetable dye. Then I took it back to the yard and waited to see the results. Two horses had a strange green glow the next day...funnily enough no-one ever 'borrowed' my stuff again.

Feel for you we have that problem at the moment, one person's fly spray was used up by the problem person & the other day I found half of my large box of disposable gloves gone.I've only used three pairs & the Y/O has had maybe 6 goves total,am fuming as they were in my cupboard so they's actually gone in my cupboard to egt them.Know who it is but can't prove it but have put locks on the doors now so have stopped the cheeky so & so.
