He does look lovely - alert and ready for action!Been doing some play not huge amounts.
Played in the small wire pen today and the narrow bridge in the arena.
3 huge trailers pulled in across the street today.
The last one must not have had room to pull around back and had terrible troubles trying to back out with the hill near the house the fences and huge table stone over the old well.
There's quite a number of horses no idea what's up.
Sonny did look pretty when he was looking over that way.
Andi has been carrying on screaming back and forth to them.

Heck that would unnerve me! I can just imagine a herd of ponies playing statues now......Well, only semi schizo today, and again, I think I know why. Lovely morning, so off we go. To the right of the gate into the forest is the biggest group of forest ponies we've encountered - probably 12-15 of them. Still, I got on ok, and he set off in the opposite direction, no problem. I could feel him tensing, and when I look behind, ALL of them are following us. It was like a game of statues - every time I looked round, they all stopped and pretended to be interested in something else. I decided to pull off onto a narrow track, and luckily they didn't follow, but the damage was done - mini buck or two, then joggetty jiggetty all the way. I pushed him into a trot, which always worked with Ramsey, but noooo - sideways, head tossing all the way along the main track. Still, nowhere near as bad as the other day, so I suppose that's progress.
In retrospect, it must have looked funny, but at the time I just wanted them to b***er off!Heck that would unnerve me! I can just imagine a herd of ponies playing statues now......
Yes I would have done too! And to think, I used to worry when there were sheep around us out hacking - never mind other ponies! In retrospect, it must have looked funny, but at the time I just wanted them to b***er off!
Agree! My worry was that they would suddenly start careering up behind and past us. I was muttering under my breath " Just let us get to the turn off, pleease just let us get to the turn off." You're so right - the more horses together, the stupider they get.Id much rather ride through a bunch of cows than horses. Think horses have more chance of winding each other up. I remember someone posting a video of her and a friend hacking through some other horses. Person had a hat cam on at the time. All you could see was legs flailing and horses rearing.
They wanted to put ponies out on the hill at one point, which we graze currently with the cattle. Im afraid im against it as the site has too many cliff edges. Think Billy would get too wound up.
Bad Zi! Hogan is being a little sh** just now too. I think it's the grass as well - what is one supposed to do??Zi was very bad today. Spooky, clumsy and generally not listening! In hand I have much more confidence than on board. But he nipped my hand very hard which didn't help! Bad lad. I don't know what's gotten into him - I can only assume autumn grass? He and Chloe have moved onto their winter paddocks. They are nice which is probably the cause, as in nice green grass. Grrrrrr.
I'm glad I'm not on my own (though sorry Hogan is norty too right now!). I feel like just giving him hay and turnout in the other paddock. But that really needs sealing off now as it's pretty jiggered and will need rolling in the spring. Grrrr.Bad Zi! Hogan is being a little sh** just now too. Grey and soggy again, but haven't been out for days, so decided to brave it. I'm glad I did - he was back to dopey self today, and that suits me fine! Our only challenge was a fallen silver birch at the side of a track. Hogan obviously thought it was an albino crocodile, so that took a few moments but he tucked his bottom in (quite a feat - big bottom) and hustled past. Is this a good boy?....View attachment 104414of course it is!
