2016.... Tracking Challenge( hours -ridden/inhand) add your photos as well

Oh can I join in this year. I have no idea what to do. I would rather do time then miles as the signal here is rubbish plus I school loads does schooling count? and do I do the boys separate or add my riding time together?

You choose between whether you want to add up your hours or your time.
Two horses, I think you would do separate. I chose inhand hours and ridden hours with one horse.
Schooling is still riding. Lunging is inhand etc
In order to include everyone I think it was agreed that although it's called hacking, this can mean in the school, fields, or out and about. Not everyone has access to hacking.
Photos optional.
I keep a diary anyway of what I do with mine so this is an extra for us.:)

I put both horses together.

First ride of the year 1.5 hrs

I did not end up putting the glittery things on his mane and tail.
He does have his glittery bridle and breastcollar on though.

I love your tack....... why is English tack so boring :(

Great photos .

Right ladies and now gent ;-) its that time of year when I do something really stupid or some would say brave lol Yes Its the February Dovecote ride again and there is a space on the box :( do I say I am going to do it..... even though I have never hacked off our farm with Melody...... eeeekkkkks time to start training again for my 2nd ever pleasure ride me thinks lol

OMG I will either do it and be over the moon or scare the **** out of myself and spend the next 6 months trying to get my confidence back lol

I prefer the early in the year ones as theres less people taking part xx

@Native Lover im wondering if we need to refine the categories for this year as it seems the hacking challenge is now including all ridden and non-ridden Inc schooling and lunging etc, what do you think?

Yes I think it should be new categories too best newcomer someone who wasn't on the original thread ???

Peds and I are up for this again :)

So we are all tracking hours, yes? (I may keep a note of miles for my own interest)

1st January

Had our first ride of the year :) Feel I'm starting from a different point this year, feel much more confident :) Peds hadn't been ridden much in December, about three times total I think, and I did feel a bit wobbly getting on (we were by ourselves) but as soon as my bum hit the saddle it all melted away and we had a lovely little 40 min hack, mostly in walk. He is so unfit though as was puffing and a bit sweaty when we got back!
