I have just started a sharing arrangement and need to look into getting myself insured with either personal or riders insurance.

The owner has insurance for the horse, which covers him when I am riding him and also covers any third party, road accidents, etc. However it doesn't cover ME.

Anyone have this type of insurance? Can you recommend any particular one?

Most insurance companies will provide rider only insurance (just be aware of E&L as they don't have the greatest reputation).

Also if you join the BHS as a Gold member (£57 a year I think) you get insurance included with the membership. Worth the money I think.

I have rider insurance its with Petplan equine and isnt very expensive. Inbetween £30-£50 a year i think i cant remember

Thats what I've got for me to ride the pony I loan, I think its a good deal and you get to become a bhs member and get magazines aswel. :)
