Headed off really early for XC schooling this morning.
Really good day apart from being quite foggy down where venue was but was dry day so that was great.
Spots was a bit snorty at first as he took in new arena but then settled and was listening.
It was a big outdoor, all weather surface with loads of different xc jumps, banks, steps, drops, water etc.
We schooled over different jumps and obstacles and then did a course a couple times adding in a couple new jumps had not done before so first time asking horse to do it as would be in a ht.
Cyrus really was a great boy, he had a couple cheeky moments but 90% really great. He was loving it which is super and as were finishing he gave you the feeling he would happily keep going so that was lovely note to end on.
Took about an hour each way and my friend and I share a love of musicals so we sang away and drank coffee so whole day was a lot of fun.
Cyrus also made friends with the dogs on the yard down there which was very cute. There was a little spotty pony down there too the owner's daughter has. Very cute and a super jumper by all accounts. i think it is 13.2 or 14.2 and does 1.10s competing so I was in awe
