What's age to start jumping

Considering going to see a full loan for daughter. She is rising 5 and jumping 2ft 3" but has large scopey jump. Is this young or ok
 
2'3 is nothing, thats perfectly fine, 5yo age classes are 1m+! One thing I would say though is how experienced is your daughter? A 5 year old will still be learning and will need a competant jockey to teach them and not put up with any mucking around.
 
Daughters 17, studying level 3 horse management.
We've been to see and she's risen her very well, like you say still very green, but they were good together, I think she's coming to stay with us!

Looks a little what my lass does, jumps the upright as fence hugging. She is only on the lunge as I want her to get better at staying in the middle. I took the jumps away from the fence and that's helped a lot.
