 Sorry for the dodgy picture, but what is this pony wearing?

It's in Spain, if that helps :)

Y'see that's what I thought  I have heard of wires across the nose being used to force head carriage, but surely not on a kids pony...hardly going to be looking to do high school dressage on him are they?

No idea. Was browsing for holiday villas next year and the ponies that come with one of the villas were shown....was just curious.I thinkkkk, the orange thing is the lead rope, and the man has just pulled it over his head?
Seeing as that black things at the bottom just are plain reins, i think?

the reins look as though they're attached to the metal thing going across the nose. and the metal thing is sitting on a sheepskin noseband by the looks of it. the red rope is a leadrein. bizarest bridle/headgear i've ever seen - especially on a childs pony!

it looks like some sort of spainish hackmore, as it has some sort of padding under the metal part...but it really doesnt look all that nice for the poor pony
