could any one help me.ive weaned my colt off my mare @ just pu t them back together after 3 months.hes just started to suckle again.but she only got clear fluid in her teats, could it hurt him
Have posted this on your other thread, it won't hurt the foal, but it will encourage the mare to produce milk again so she will be at risk from mastitis. Put the foal back with his friends he was weaned with and leave him with them.
I recently weaned my colt in November. He's out with a playmate who I have on loan until May. Then he was meant to go back out with mum. Is it really that bad??
