Heather, I am having trouble getting Tango to do travers now that we are home. I am trying to bring my inside hip forwards, maintain a bend to the inside by keeping my reins both close into her withers and move her haunches over by pulling my outside leg back slighly and asking with it as she picks up her outside back leg. When I ask her which my schooling whip in the outside she is just running away, and no amount of trying to hold her with my seat is holding her!
We are still managing to leg yield fine on both reins so she does understand what the leg pressure means so i think i am confusing her somewhere, could you possibly tell me where I am going wrong?
