We have a 7.5 tonne lorry for two horses backwards facing stalls in the middle and cabin at the back of the lorry. We recently got a 11.2hh Welsh pony and we were wondering how best to travel her with another horse. As it’s backwards facing hoping this is better as the front bar is too high for her and cannot be adjusted without mechanical modification as it’s a solid wall.
Is it best to tie her or leave her loose in one side? She could probably just about turn around but again as she could t do this easily is this unsafe for her to do as well.
Would installing a second tie ring be a good idea so could cross tie her? But she’s also far too short to fill the length of the box too.
Any advice would be appreciated
