I noticed today when I was feeding my horse that his lower back right leg (his cannon) seemed to be a bit swollen. I have no idea what it was cause from..maybe one of the other horses kicked him? I really am unsure. Its not too badly swollen but I am wondering what I should do to help the swelling? Should I just ice it and wrap it? Or is there something else I can do to help it? Thanks for any advice!

Cold hose it and double check for any small puncture wounds too.
If no improvement I would ring the vet to be on the safe side.

Thanks...today I did cold hose it and then I put linament on it, then I wrapped it...I will see how it goes from there, I am sure it will swell down soon.
