Special Olympics/ Ness RDA

I just wondered if anyone reconised the little cob we used to have? (Had to have him put down due to colic recently)

He did RDA at Ness on the Wirral and I believe he won several medals at the special olympics back in June 2006 (Approx) that were held in Glasgow.

I have tried in vain to track down photos of him at the Specials. Was anyone there?

Was there not an official phographer at the specials? If not I would contact the other groups there and see if anyone present took pictures. There is usually one amateur photographer amongst the parents and helpers.
 
As far as I can find out there was no official photographer (strange :confused:) I would have thought someone like the Grossicks would have been there. The RDA cannot help and two people who went with the horse from Ness said they had photos and would send me them (.... and didn't - I think there was "politics" involved TBH) His name was "Jack" if it jogs anyones memory?
 
ooops sorry perhaps I should have said - after much searching on the net I did find one photo of him - jumping (sadly he was obscured by the wing!!!!!!!) Would have been nice to have seen others of him.
 
Sorry this is such a late reply & you've maybe been able to get hold of other pictures, but if you go onto the Special Olympics website they might have pictures?
 
i used to work at the centre that held the olympics so i can ring them and see what pictures they have, i know they do have a few and maybes so of the riders parents might have some if you want me to try let me know

i will text one of the women and ask her to have a look as she worked there then i will describe your horse he looks alot like one at the centre and i will let you know.

there is one there now who looks just like him, but shes a mare, could that be the one your thinking of vikkig?
There are a few photos around the wall of the office area but none of the gorgeous boy in the pics I'm afraid
