I've got a Barnsby GP saddle, it's three years old and is fitted with Flair. I'm thinking about selling it on Ebay. It cost me £1000 new, but I'd rather just keep it than sell it for next to nothing...is it worth anything second hand?

Any advise on where to advertise would be great ;)

I tried an advert on NR a while ago and also advertised in my local tack shop...but had no interest. Do you think the Flair is putting people off...should I have it flocked with wool and try again?

We have always had sucess with Ebay...just put on a sensible reserve. We have bought and sold saddles and been impressed both ways with price..big names like Stubben sell well, specialist saddles sell cheaply.

Try it ...with a reserve you are not risking much.

I've just been reading a piece in a mag about second hand tack. You'll be fortunate to make 50% of the value back on it, 60% if you are lucky and the saddle is in immaculate condition.

Go for a local tack shop. I was trying to sell 2 Ideal saddles last year. I advertised them on a million different websites and no serious enquieries. I put up an ad in the local tack shop (including piccies) and the saddles were sold within 3 days! i got a call the very day i put the ad up!

Did you know that if you go into the 'advanced search' facility then you can tick a box to do a keyword search for completed items, those that finished in the last 30 days :)

I did a search using Barnsby GP and ticking complted items and this is what I got.
