but at least this time its on a different leg - well i suppose it adds variety
came in from field last night with swollen hock - its warm but not hot - no sign of any injury & it doesnt seem to cause her any pain when you touch/press it - so current plan of action - turn out at night[shes out all day too] so that she can move round, hosing with cold water & small daily dose of bute - she was most miffed last night not to be tucked up in nice warm stable - but was rugged to eyeballs & was warm & toasty @5.30am & all this on the evening before v v v important job interview [am typing this in the interview suit - keep fingers/toes/hooves crossed for me] - anyother ideas welcome - will of course get vet out if no improvement in couple of days but feel that its most likely to have happened if shes rolled in field - is renowned for injuring herself when rolling so want to give it 2/3 days before i go down vet road - healing vibes & hints & tips welcome
