WHY OH WHY??? Here I am about to go to my first proper para dressage regional qualifier at King's in Hereford next Tuesday, and lo and behold, I've just had a lesson this morning that made me look like I'd never seen a dressage test in my life before, let alone ridden one, and like Max and I hadn't even been on the same planet, never mind had a horse-rider relationship before.

What is this all about??
I can't walk straight, halt square, or find the right letters, never mind arrive at them at the right time.Grrrrrrrr:mad:

What's the matter with me??

Could it be just that the instructor is being more critical than usual because of the qualifier? Or you're feeling stressed and that's getting in the way of your riding?

Whatever you do to relax, whether it's going for a gentle hack or keeping away from horses for a day, do that. I know your record; I'm sure you'll be brilliant at the qualifier. Just don't panic :):):)

I was the same in a driving lesson(car) so know how you are feeling though its a different scenario.
