Well this is already a ‘no go’
Spoke to a lady in planning who told me which form to fill out, and how much the fee would be - £94.00 as a field shelter is classed as agricultural.
All good. So I fill out the forms, take several photos and measurements, find a field shelter I want and email everything over.
They rang me back today to take the fee. Because it’s for horses, it’s not agricultural, but minor development and the fee for someone just to look at the form, photos etc is actually £575.00. The actual planning fee itself would be in the thousands.
I can’t afford to throw away over £500 just for someone to tell me if I can put up a shelter on my own land.
so, it’s now back to the drawing board to work out how I can convert existing stables to a shelter and use temporary fencing to ‘guide’ the ponies to it from the field I actually wanted to put the shelter in.
