Both daughter and we bought Danish Design large size beds for an Irish terrier. I also bought their blanket to go over our white sofa cover but it is counter productive as, being a terrier, she burrows under it.
We had flanelette sheets from when our children were little and I throw one of those over the sofa when the god visits. My father's dog, a terrier wire haired, was not allowed upstairs nor on the furniture and he slept on a rug in a wicker basket. But modern dogs seem like replacement babies and purchased to give affection and cuddles.
