Are there any beaches close by to hack to, I havent a clue about hacking round there only driven round ( drooling!)

I think there is a beach fairly close, but I'm not sure yet. There's soooo much to explore......

It feels like a holiday - still can't believe we are here. We've not had a holiday for twelve years so making up for lost time!lol going to look around some of the local places of interest later - OH is sneaking away from his desk early

I very rarely come on here these days Trewsers but just have to break my silence to say how absolutely delighted I am for you, Mr. Trewsers and the girls. I couldn't believe what I have been reading, after waiting for almost forever to finally realise your dream of actually 'living the dream' you are now safely ensconced in one of the most stunning parts of the British Isles and have everything you might wish for, including a distinct lack of unexpected visits from the delightful MIL. I can't think of anyone I know who deserves to live their dream than you and yours.

i missed this too!! Wishing you every happiness Trewsers! How exciting and what a wonderful opportunity. I love Orkney, we’re in North Aberdeenshire and Ive been up a couple of times on ‘pony business’. I breed shetlands and as you will have noticed there are rather a lot there! Ive made a couple of really good pals there too - it sounds like the RC is very active if that floats your boat.

Yeah one of my neighbours mentioned the RC. When OH gets another horse I think it will be something he'd like to get involved in.
