Lovely photos, it's making me reminisce!
Where abouts in Orkney are you living? My mum is from Holm (St Mary's to be precise!) and my I have relatives who live in kirkwall.
It's such a lovely place. Have you done any sight seeing? My fav's are the Italian chapel, scarra brae, and the corrigall farm museum. Plus the Gloup is quite something!

I drove past the italian chapel yesterday, it looks interesting. And I saw the sign for Holm! It's all so lovely, like another world for us. We are in St Margarets Hope - Gaira. It's a great spot for just about everything so far!

It feels right for both us and the girls. I could not have landed anywhere much nicer for them, the weather is just right for them, the field is nicer than at home and less sloping for older legs. Their house is nice too and roomy. It's a bonus we like the house we are in too lol
The area feels so lovely and fresh too with the sea all about. Very lucky

It must be like being on holiday all the time! It's so lovely to hear you so happy and content. You've waited for long enough but it sounds like you've found where you belong. Enjoy every second of settling in and exploring - remember we like photos!

We're renting for a while until we've had a good look around - we might fancy one of the smaller remoter islands, but then again, this seems to tick all the boxes! It feels like a holiday right now, but even better now my furniture has arrived.

Another pic (sorry, I am over loading here)Took this yesterday from one of the kitchen windows - the girls are nice and close now! That's their house - it's great, I don't have so far to walk anymore.
My next door neighbour but one - who is also my landlady has a school which we can hire. There is also our field I can plod around, I'm not really ambitious lol am more than happy pootling! For me, a plod down our driveway and back up and round the field will be enough to start with, lol I am not the most confident but when my mojo returns I'll prob hack up the road to hire her school.
