Nose bleeds

Libby has had a nose bleeds from one nostril about three times in less than a month. Not huge amounts of blood and doesn't seem to be exercise related.

Any thoughts?

Its generally nothing serious if its just 1 nostril, a broken blood vessel that is possibly rebreaking before its fully healed if its always the same nostril.

They want her in to scope her

Have they seen her for it to decide that or is it more because you are concerned?

The emergency vet told me yesterday that they could come out and charge me £200 as call out but they wouldn't actually be able to do anything. When I monitored her blood loss for an hour and rang them back they said they suspect gut pouch mycosis and I need to get her in ASAP to be scoped

Madam did this several years ago, it was put down to her allergic reaction at the time. Went as suddenly as it came and never came back. Very unnerving to find her with s nosebleed though - didn't even know horses could have nose bleeds!

Never even heard of that. Must be so worrying for you. Fingers crossed all is well.
