Anyway nice walk out, I added the little new section I was wanting to and it did wake up her interest and curiosity.
I will start taking her a few new places and some of that will be earlier because it's much more pleasant out with the dog walkers 😂

Another sunny morning we did an hour and she was hoof perfect. The local common riding starts today, the ground is like concrete going to be so hard on the horses as they do a lot of fast work on the roads and at least if the off road stuff is nice going it is a relief. But it's going to be hard hard hard all the way this year. The hydro therapy is currently offering free use of their 8 furlong gallop with a hydro booking as many of their event clients are finding it really hard to keep their horses fit on the ground, so Harmony is going to do the gallops then the hydro on Monday. They usually charge £10 for use of the gallops but Katie is giving it for free.

Jumping session today on the lunge. We've put all the jumps together. Someone has a road barrier. Perfect for her to pop over as it's like a skinny.
Then she did the barrels. She was actually miffed that she couldn't carry on and do more butt it's not set up to lunge over that easily. Will see if I can swap out some wings and then she can pop three if she really wants to. She does. They are up why can't I carry on. 😂

Just settling my lovely breakfast of bacon, tomatoes and hash browns then going to groom Fuz and try for a ride. Been a week as given her time off - her hooves are always a bit iffy on the stone after a trim - I'll be getting on in the field today. Looking forward to it, just hope the rain buggers off as its gone a bit dark and we've had a splattering. Fuzzy doesn't do rain hahahaha (only when parked up in the field eating!). Well the weather thwarted me. Hope to try for tomorrow - fingers crossed it calms and doesn't rain. I am getting withdrawal symptoms hahaha.

A really short potter today as she's still not quite right and I hopped on in the field. She was ever so good though and she's heading the right way. The stones are still bothering her and she chooses the rubber mats on the yard, so glad I bought those. Did a daft thing when I'd untacked her and dug out a bed in one of the stables and now am nursing a sore back - just had to ask Mr Trews to put some Deep Heat on it. I never learn - darn those forkfuls of wet straw! o_O
 
Took her out on a group ride. We've not ridden with the ponies or the people before, so it was going to be a big ask because we have only ever done one other.
All okay, still a nice active walk based on the leader being very forward. Few trots and a few trots to catch up 😂
She did have a meltdown though when we had three horses trotting behind us going another way. She really can't deal with others trotting and the only thing I could think of at that moment was dismount and leaf to settle then get back in and carry on.
I didn't want her upsetting the others for one thing.
In two minds really because it's maybe something she can't deal with, but I can learn to deal with it better, or just feel and deal at the time and not worry if I get off or not.
If we join the group ride again, we both might feel more confident the second time.

A nice little potter and she felt good - definitely back to normal with her hooves. The sun came out - yaye! Sadly it was only a short one as had to go into town to collect shopping. Hoping tomorrow will prove a good weather day. 🐴 🙂

I keep getting behind - I used to post in my lunch hour but my work computer has tagged my photo site as being suspicious so now I can't

Anyway in the last two weeks we have had our normal hacks, but also a couple of trips out. First a trip to the local forest for a nice pootle round in shirt sleeves - we only did the short route which is just under 6 miles. Secondly a trip to our local mini xc/off road riding. I was on my own so didn't jump, but Harvey decided it was a good day for some galloping :)

Cow Parsley season is Harvey's favourite

Yes I love lying with Storm in a paddock. The others not so much as they seem to prefer laying down in the byre. Love his cow parsley bouquet!
