Anyone have any idea how to go about learning Mctimony Chiropracting (if thats even a word:o)
Dont really want to go to college or anything just really for personal use as my horse is a bit of a spanner and needs his back knocking back in on a regular basis-- I would love to be able to either do it myself or just to be able to feel where and what the problems are.

If you want to do the animal chiropractic side you have to do human chiropractics first.

However, if you just want to be able to practice on animals, the same course human chiropracter can do to convert to animal chiropractics run the McTimoney is open to you, but you come out of it only able to call yourself an 'animal manipulator' or the like rather than an 'animal chiropracter'.

The course is an MSc, and they take on people usually who have a degree in health somewhere along the lines, or else equine degrees. However they are open to other applicants. More info can be found here: http://www.mctimoney-college.ac.uk/page/7_Prospectus.html - choose the animal manipulation prospectus =]

If you already hold an equine science degree you can apply to do the MSc McTimoney animal manipulation course without studying humans first. It is a two year course and is run as 10 weekend tutorials per year. And is held at Moreton Morrell college,Warwickshire.

I applyed in 2007, but had to opt out. The course costs about £12000 altogether, and i just couldnt get all the funding for it, even with a career development loan!:o
