You have my sympathies. AJ had vasculitis as a 3 year old. In his case the vet thought it was caused by photosensitivity, probably as a result of eating something poisonous. It took months to clear, in fact it only cleared when I stopped giving him the antibiotics and steroids and put him on a course of L94 (liver tonic). I also started using filtabac as a sun cream as it also contains anti bacterial stuff. Whether it was a coincidence or not his legs cleared up.

It started in August and the following August he started developing scabs on his white heels again so I put him straight on the L94 and the scabs never came to anything. So now I start him on the L94 mid July and cover his heels in filtabac as soon as it's sunny. So far so good, but I live in fear of it flaring up again. It's a truly miserable condition (not to mention expensive!)

Fingers crossed Sox responds to the drugs x

Good news he is walking better still. And the scabs are drying up. See photos. Bad news is he has lost a lot of weight :( due to all the stress of the last month or so I imagine

what about micronised linseed? Would that help. A good scoop in daily food bucket.
He is on that. Though he ran out two weeks ago and the shop I normally get it from didn't have any. Just got some the other day. So he is back on half a cup am and pm for 3 days then going up to 1 mug am and pm. Keeping him on that for a few days then he is going to 1 and a half mugs. Hopefully that should help. X
