Indie keeps getting a lump on his back right on his spine under the saddle which is only there after a long ride.
It has only been happening for the last few weeks when we ride for over 3 hours. It is not sore to touch and hes not bothered by it but obviously its not good! It always goes down by the next day too.
The odd thing is it happens no matter which saddle i use and the saddle doesn't actually touch him there.
I used a saddlecloth similar to a polypad but thinner which showed there is no contact down the spine - just to check! I usually use a wool lined griffin numnah but have also tried a thin numnah with a prolite pad and the lump stilll came up.
Any ideas? I'm going to give my saddler a call tomorrow if i can get hold of her just to double check saddle otherwise will get the vet to check.
