Oh my grandma what big feet you have!

Still not paddock sound, but no worse.
I am finding operation 'Pony Poultice" rather therapeutic. I have it all organised by doing chores first, saying hello to her. She's usually in the shade.
I have the tape all sorted and I have gained skills in the fact it stays on, and improvising with non horse items.
My hard ground that's not been rolled, harrowed or topped for two years isn't helping though. So naturally she's being ultra careful.

Glad she's no worse.

Farrier thinks it's a bruise that she's not absorbed that turned into an abscess. That's dealt with but the bruise is still having and still very painful in the hoof.

I've been working towards getting back on board for a while, it's been a looooong road lol Mr Trews has really egged me on, I couldn't have done it alone.

Bath time for chubby today. Barrier peppermint no rinse shampoo. Smells lovely. He actually wasn't as dirty as I thought he'd be, and ended up rather enjoying it. Nice and shiny when I turned him out - not for long I shouldn't think!

OH found old photos today and my heart ached just a bit. I'd forgotten how devoted to our son our springer, Bruno, was. Almost every photo, from newborn to 8 or 9, he's right there with his boy. Sweetest dog ever.

He has a heart of gold though, I realised that he really is a saint. The first time I got on him I must have been a ball of utter electric combined with the smell of fear and nerves. He did not even move away from the block. Just stood, patient as ever whilst I screwed my eyes up, fidgeted, panicked, re-adjusted my seat, wiggled about and generally radiated fear and more nervous energy. When I got off he gave me a puzzled look as if to say "okay, what was that all about? You can get back on again if you like"!

Thanks, she's fine in herself, perky, plump and generally ruling the roost

Yeah, he's really patient with me, and he knows me well enough and when I say "enough for today" he knows to leave it.
