Is shires tack good quality?

Last Christmas we bought a pink saddle and bridle from the Shires Buddies range for my grandaughters Christmas. Not had any problems saddle fitter was impressed by fit of saddle [ not the colour though] you can see a piccie of pony with it on by going to the pink saddle with bling thread.

IMO. No, cheap and didn't last! Sabre make lovely bridles and they're not *too* expensive

There clothes are good. Tack not sure. If i was choosing bridle personally i'd likely go for english but cheaper end.

I've had plenty of their clothes, but only a leadrope for my horse! it lasted a long time tho.

I really like my leather dressage girth from them.Its elasticated and well padded and ity cost £30!

The James Stirling "english" leather range of bridles are made from english leather that is exported out to India where it is then made into various saddlery (bridles,headcollar etc) a James Stirling name badge is added and then it's shipped back to England to be sold by Shires, Oz

I love shires range.
There bridles are really good quality at the yard where i work some of there horses have shires bridles and the leather is nice and supple not like the cheap leather you can get, i have an inhand bridle by them its the james sterling make and its stunning i never use it as i ride my lad which is a shame as its soo lovely!
They also do lovely rugs too and everything they stock is reasonably priced!!

I have got a shires james stirling bridle for every day use and it is really nice. I have had it for about 3 years and it has got better with age and regular cleaning. That is their mid price range. The havana stuff is a really nice dark brown not like some makes.
