How to tell if a horse has good comformation

I got some better pics! He doesn't have a job yet, he is just learning how to be ridden/all the basics, I don't know anything about him (yet) oh and i measured him and he's actoully a big pony (obviously I'm really bad at taking pictures...)

unfortunately none of those pictures are great for judging conformation, the one with the sun behind him is the best one but because of the light behind him you really can’t see any details, even then he’s not stood up very well. He does look lovely though, what breed is he and what do they plan to use him for long term?

Is he a QH @JJ_Horsehp ? He has that look. I like his fluffy winter coat too.
