how much does it cost for a saddle to be fitted?

Roughly obviously because different people will charge more or less.
But for a new saddle to be professionally fitted?

I was charged £35 which included the initial assessment, taking of a template and then the fitting once the saddle had been made. Since I bought a saddle this also includes a re-assessment when the saddle has bedded in, no time limit.

Also they usually charge mileage so if you can get more than just you to see them when they are there they'll usually split that between everyone.

I think mine charges £40 for a saddle fitting but this was included when I bought a new saddle from her.

I have someone coming out on Thursday (fully qualified) for £25 plus 0.40p mileage. She's looking at both my horses... She dosen't sell saddles so I am not sure what the price will be to come back and fit what I choose...

I know obviously depends on what make of the saddle, but just roughly for a typical gp saddle

My Thorowgood cost about £350 (3d T4 hi-wither), she had some second hand leather saddles about the same, maybe less.

Mine was £625 and I think this is quite reflective of an English leather made to measure saddle. It's 16", black and VSD cut and I know that every 0.5" longer you wanted the saddle it added another £50 or so to the price.

That price did not include the fitting.
