Anyone used Homeopathy on their horses?

Still looking for things to help Mr Shay with his pollen allergy, although moved him into a different field last night and he doesn't seem so bad this morning, although he wouldn't move for my to see if he was still coughing.

I use homeopathy for my kids and have turned into one of these mad women who rave on to anyone who will listen about holistic practices.

I have a super book for the prescribing to the family - think I will get ta book for the horses.

try it - it won't do any harm!

KTC Does it have a grid for choosing the remedy for each individual horse or does it just state give them 'this remedy' for 'that symptom'?

I use homeopathy for myself, my children and my animals, from horses to guinea pigs!!! It is best to use a qualifies homepath because it is not staightforward at all, but 'The treatment of horses by homeopathy' by George McLeod, is a good book if you cannot get hold of a horsey homeopath (they are v.rare). General homeopaths may be willing to advise even if they dont specialise in animals. Good luck!

Use it all the time for the family, cats and horses. It either works or doesn't do anything at all so no risk of harm or overdose. Have been involved with homeopathy for over 25 years. (Worked in the field for over ten years) Many people, horses, allergic just to grass pollen and nothing else. And there is a remedy for that as there is for just about everything. Cats, dogs, horses and people are all made of the same stuff so it works for all in the same way.

I've recently got some 'stuff' from the British Institute for Allergy and Environmental Therapies homeopathic pharmacy for my boys sweet itch. He also had runny eye's and has done for a year. well it doesn't look like it's stopped him itching but it has actually stopped his eyes watering for the first time :) So maybe an allergy afteral still?

If you'd like a contact name and number then please pm me.

If you've not tried a homeopathic vet - there are quite a few around the UK and will use homeopathy as part of their treatment. The British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons website is at: http://www.bahvs.com/ and this has its members listed.

Hello all !

I`m Wim (William) and (semi-retired) Dutch homeopath for people and animals, and teacher of English. Before that I was a policeman/detective in the Hague and so I`m
not a particularly gullible person.

I`ve been a homeopath for about 8 years now and cured thousands of people and animals, incl. many childen/babies and many shelter animals, the latter esp. in Turkey. Millions of people and animals have been cured with homeopathy all over the world.

If one doesn`t believe in homeopathy just look at the huge number (i.e. millions) of children/babies and animals that can`t pretend (!)and who are cured by homeopathic treatment.

OTC homeopathic remedies bought at a health store, etc. don`t always work because a homeopathic remedy should fit the individual presenting symptom picture, i.e. that e.g. 5 or more patients with the same disease/complaint may each need a different remedy, because their symptoms differ. This is why people often are disappointed and say homeopathy doesn`t work, but they don`t know/realize that the remedy is not indicated for their individual problem ! Homeopathy doesn`t treat a disease name but symptoms !

Homeopathy is NOT a replacement for conventional/orthodox treatment, but a way of maintaining optimal good health, and healing many problems permanently. In short it is a complementary adjunct to other systems and can comfortably be used in conjunction with them.

Conventional treatment and homeopathic treatment should work hand in hand, which is, fortunately, gradually becoming more and more the case. Please also bear in mind that neither conventional treatment nor homeopathic treatment can cure all problems !

Not easy to explain everything in a short post, but I hope this post is useful for some and.... you may call me a fool, but I`ll never charge any money for online homeopathic advice, neither for people nor animals.

Kind regards from the Netherlands, also to my English colleagues and friends,

Wim, Homeopath for people and animals/Teacher of English BA ( http://animalhomeopathy.aceboard.com )
