Got our first ever fun ride next week (eek), so wanted to try him out in a little butterfly pelham I have borrowed. He'll be back to his snaffle after it, but think I might need some more brakes! Am using roundings as it is a one off and I ride with a light contact.

Had a great lesson. Camera died before he started going really well, but I have included some comedy pics!

Please excuse my really long reins. We are trying to get him more forwards going and I was concious I didn't want to jab him in the mouth with the pelham. Obviously they went a bit too long at times!!

Amazing- he actually stood still for me to do his girth!

Overall I am really pleased with our improvement (blips aside) and I am very pleased with his weight.

Sweet pony by the way:) Very interested in the butterfly pelham - how does it differ from a normal pelham? think roundings are fine if you have light hands - have similar issues so all input from your experience with the butterfly one would be great to hear?;)
