Well my farrier is coming atr midday today and while I'm at the yard I'll be telling YO that I'm leaving.... *gulp*
I have perfectly legitimate reasons for leaving.. basically to cut a long story short one of the girls had to leave our yard as YO is bringing his horse back (who has been out on working loan to a local equine college but is recovering from a serious injury he suffered over Christmas) and wants her stable.. last in, first out sort of scenario.
She has moved to a yard up the road but she has a young daughter and is struggling with 'true' DIY livery.. on our yard our YO's partner is fantastic and always on hand to help out of you ever can't get up etc. you just have to text or leave a note and she'll do anything for you.
Anyway she's desperate to come back so having had a nosey at her new yard I've said she can have my stable and I'll move up there. New yard offers 24/7 turnout in summer albeit in individual paddocks, allows you to manage your own grazing, no restricted turnout in winter and will work out cheaper for me. So like I say, perfectly legitimate reasons for leaving and I'm not inconveniencing them because the stable will be filled straight away.
But I still feel sick at the thought of the really awkward conversation I've got to have in just over an hour Any tips on how to break the news?
