Hi all,

I have just brought a lovely navy/grey herringbone tweed from Preloved.

I am 'watching' a couple of navy velvet hats on Ebay, but I wondered.. What colour gloves should I be wearing?

Merci! x

It should always be brown!

I do think navy can look quite smart with a blue tweed though if the brown really doesn't go. Just don't ever go for black; black is for mourning and ladies don't ride when they're in mourning! ;)

Canary jods - Harry Hall Atlanta in Canary are a good colour and not expensive. They're also quite thick, so they're comfy and flattering. I only wore mine for one or two shows, but have used them for general riding since and they are lasting well. :)

Wear a gold/yellow shirt and a red tie to lift the colour of the tweed. Blue/grey tweeds can often look a bit washed out, but a non-white shirt and a bright enough tie make all the difference. :)

Black boots, navy hat and job's a good 'un. ;)
