The little creature shouting Alan frightened the life out of me one day!!

I had fallen asleep on the sofa watching Saturday evening crap tv and was woken up by that tv programme with that prairie dog (I think it's a prairie dog  ) screeching Alan. This wouldn't be too bad but my name is Helen and in my sleepy state I actually thought there was a small creature in my tv shouting my name :giggle: scary!!

Thanks hun!!

Today I had my # clinic appointment. I have sustained a Posterior malleolus fracture which the consultant is surprised I sustained when I described the mechanism of the injury. A posterior malleolus fracture is a fracture of the back of the "shin bone" at the level of the ankle joint.

I've got a new hi viz pink plaster cast on. The practitioners in the plaster room were really helpful, especially when I got a bit light headed, panicked and started getting teary. I swear, us nurses make the worst patients!

I've got to go back next week and I have to remain non-weightbearing for now but consultant is feeling positive that the fracture is healing as it should be so I should be able to begin to weightbear in three weeks and have the cast removed in approx 6 weeks (the week before I'm due to fly out to Tuscany).

I also have 6 weeks worth of codiene so I'm able to sleep well but the side effects are a bit mad!
