Hey there guys...this is my first one of these!
Just wanted to rack your brains

Iv been re training ex race horses for years, failed racers. its something i get alot from and i believe these horses deserve another chance in life ;)

Does anyone know anyone that deals with racers dirct from the tracks, as a few yrs ago we used to get them in batches from a gentleman that dealt direct with the yards, being out of the scene for a while iv lost my contacts and its something i feel i should be doing,as some of these horses could be getting another chance.

Thanks guys
lol

its a real shame u didn't no about a horse called poppy who was for sale:eek:
she was fresh from the track!
but she had an accident on the track we think:(

Mine is an ex racer and she was sent to Doncaster sales many a time to try and get rid of as she was not very good for racing. Sorry not much help but i admire you for what you do, i love racing but i do not agree with the end of their racing life in many cases. Keep us posted on how you get on
xXx

Why don't you phone Greatwood - here... http://www.racehorsesgreatwood.org/ or the Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre here ... http://www.thoroughbredrehabilitationcentre.co.uk/Loans.htm - they may be able to point you in the right direction of tried-but-failed racers....

These message boards may have some clues, or you post a question... http://www.ror.org.uk/forums

Or go "direct to source" and try ringing round some yards at Newmarket or Lambourn to ask them where theirs go when they realise they are not up to speed???

Good luck :)

Ascot and Doncaster sales are the main ones for exracehorses. I'm hoping to go to the Feburary Ascot one.
