What a refreshing, balanced view on school life! I have so much admiration for Mr Drew, would love to work with someone like him! Also good to see completely unacceptable behaviour being nailed swiftly. Especially that girl making accusations against a teacher. Is she really do dumb as to try and argue with cctv evidence??? quite worrying she felt no remorse for making a potentially career destroying false allegation.

If you missed it it will be on 4OD :D

I caught the last bit of this last night and found it funny.

I would be annoyed though if i was the parent who was being talked and laughed about on national tv but maybe her daughters shameful behaviour may make her realise what she is doing!

I think what both parents AND pupils need to remember is that teachers are human. And i don't think the child or her parent were being belittled or laughed at in any way. The child LIED. she made a potentially life-wrecking allegation and her mothers comments speak for themselves. What parent thinks it's right to talk to any person, let alone the professional who's educating their child, like that? in our job, if you didn't laugh you'd be off with clinical depression...

A morbid sense of humour is necessary in certain professions. It means no disrespect, it's a coping mechanism for police, prison officers, teachers, probation officers and many more...

You should find it on 4OD and it's a whole series. Next thursday, channel 4 at 9pm :) i am normally quite critical of these teaching fly on the wall docs but this is so true to life and the teachers on it really are quite amusing. Quite reminiscent of where i teach! :p

I liked it and I thought that Mr Drew was very good. Very human, very strict but also very fun and fair.

I don't think I had a teacher like that in secondary school...I wish there were more like that

Well, last episode tonight and i'm in tears! not at it ending but at the content. I really, really wish more teachers cared as much as Mr Drew and Mr Goddard do. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and it is brutally realistic. I hope it's given the general public a fly on the wall view for what life is like in an average school.

I have only seen one episode of this, and have to say it wasnt what i was expecting it to be , i would have loved to have Mr Drew as my teacher.I think he takes no nonsense from the pupils but at the same time he is approachable and seems the sort you can have a bit of a joke with.. I am impressed that he can look outside the box and see a bigger picture as to why young people may be disruptive during school.

I have watched everyone of these, but missed the last one! Will have to catch up on 4OD, I have loved it...

get the tissues handy! myself and my colleague both cried buckets at the end! i like to think we are a lot like Mr Drew as we do take the time to chat to our pupils and find out what is going on and what could cause their outbursts and behaviour. It's a shame some of my colleagues aren't more restorative like us, would save the outburst i endured today from one kid who'd had his head nipped by other staff members and when i quietly and calmly asked him to pop his phone away promptly ripped my head off.

Lol I found the series quite odd to watch as it is my old school! I must say it was so much more strict when I was there, only a couple of the teachers on the program were then when I was there. I'm 25, can't believe it's 10years since I left!

The main thing that looked like it has slacked since I was there was the uniform, it was so strict wheni was there, the teachers used to count the stripes on our ties to make sure they were all the eaxct right length.
