Chunky Monkey gang

Back in the saddle again for a short hack. Felt good. Only walked today.
Base of my spine is feeling it. Put my poly pad on top of the saddle to provide some protection. Not sure why I keep getting this discomfort. Hoping it's just my lack of muscle in that area and it strengthens in time.

Glad you’ve been able to get out again. Have you got a seat saver you can put on?

No havent managed to find a 2nd hand one local yet. There over £100 brand new. Im on a very tight budget currently. So just can't afford to spend out that kind of money.

Boys are booked for freezer camp. Sorry chaps.
Ewe lambs advertised for sale. Someone has already been on touch and may come to look at them at the weekend.
Foot trimming help provisionally booked. Cadmus will be happy in a couple of weeks. His hormones are raging currently. He has made a few advances towards me. Must not enter his field without a protection stick in hand now. He's not as bad as Frank was but im not chancing it.
At least the animal side of things is positive.

On the negative side. Had yet more communication from GP today and they are now referring me. Thats like 3 things in the last couple of weeks they found wrong with me, but likely all inter linked. Blow for me though as this will mean a complete change in my diet ultimately and means that I won't be living as cheaply, because the new dietary requirements will mean buying more expensive foods. Won't be able to buy any of the reduced label stuff I buy and freeze currently, as it will be all out of bounds.

Well I can't fault the NHS on this occasion. Was told last week there was a long wait to be referred. Well I was phoned today for my referral appt for Sunday. So 10 days and a weekend. Pretty good really.
Hoping I get more answers.

Poor Cadmus is very frustrated. Had to move the ewe lambs yesterday from the adjacent field. Had someone come to see them at the weekend but waiting to hear if hes having them. Have another enquiry also so hopefully I might get them sold.
Have agreed to have a friends old chickens as there moving house and downsizing. There not laying much, but they may pick up as they will be semi free range. That's arranged for a couple of weeks time.

Glad you got an appointment. Good luck and good luck with the chickens lol (my neighbours chickens have been pestering the neighbours at the other side hahahaa).

Well my scope didn't go according to plan. They couldnt do it, so I have to go back in a few weeks and be sedated. My gag reflex even with the throat spray was so bad they couldn't get the camera down. I was so hoping I could get it over and done with, I tried to keep busy this morning and stay relaxed.

Oh no. Hope you can get it down and dusted soon. My dad used to choose to be sedated. I think I probably would.

Wet on and off this morning. Managed to work outside and got all the sheep foot trimmed. Started continuously on the last couple, then we were inside to do the worming. I got cold then moving in among soggy sheep. We abandoned going to get Cadmus to go in with his ewes, put all the ewes and lambs together and just turned them out. I will separate everyone again tomorrow, as I've sold the ewe lambs, there being collected tomorrow. Ram lambs are going to the abbatoir Monday morning so will get them and Cad over after the ewe lambs have gone. Keeping two ewe lambs, they will go with some ewes im retiring. More than I anticipated. Thought it was only 2 but ive decided not to put 2 others to the ram as well. So ive got 4 retiring. Only 9 going to cadmus. The retirees can stay for now and keep the two lambs company.
Probably not a bad thing lambing less next year. Due to circumstances I will have no sheds/yard for my sheep after next May. It will be a huge issue if I get any sick animals that need care. The only shed of sorts I will have is the one stable we created for the horses. Total inappropriate.
So I will have to buy a mobile stable/field shelter or 2 to tide me over. Lambing in 2028 will be a real problem.
