Can you recommend a waterproof high viz exercise sheet, and advice on size needed

I'm thinking of getting an exercise sheet which is waterproof and has a warm lining. My share horse is clipped, and I feel a bit mean riding him in this freezing weather when I'm all wrapped up. I'd like a high viz one as then it will serve two purposes, and I'm probably a bit weird, but I actually like high viz stuff!

I was thinking of a V-Bandz waterproof quarter sheet which fits behind the saddle. I know lots of sheets go under the saddle, but do they make the saddle slip, and are they a pain to put on, or do you just put the saddle on top and that's it?

I'm not sure about what size I'd need. The horse is 15.3/16hh but is not particularly long backed because he only takes a 6 foot rug, which I don't think is that big for a horse. The V-Bandz sizes are cob: 14-15.1hh, horse: 15.2-16.3hh. I tried to measure how long his back is behind the saddle, but he really freaked out at the tape measure, so I gave up as I was worried he'd hurt himself or me. I used to ride a pony who was only 13.3hh, yet also wore a 6 foot rug, and going by V-Bandz sizes she would have needed a pony size sheet!

I'd also appreciate any advice on other makes you have used and liked/disliked.

I've got a Shires one, that used to be Joe's - it is one that just wraps around the saddle, I don't fancy the ones that go underneath - can't help wondering if they'd get scrunched up?
Joe was 16.2hh and I *think* his exercise sheet was a 6ft 3 inch one?
I keep saying I'll use it on Storm, but not sure how she'll react (she is a wuss when it comes to new things!)
Am sure lots of other people on here use them - so hopefully you'll get more info.

I have an Equisafety wrap around hi viz sheet which I think is fab, it has a detachable bit that goes around the horses chest as well so you get 360 degree hiviz and warmth! They do a summer and a winter version.

I have a pic of us wearing it somewhere, I'll try and dig it out.

Here's a pic, ignore my position! He's 14'2 pretty hefty cob and he's in the cob size.

Thanks for your replies, Trewsers and Laura.

Your cob is lovely, Laura, and he looks very smart in his sheet. I'll have a look at the Equisafety ones.

Ditto Laura. I have the Equisafety sheets for winter and summer. I'm sure there's a photo in my album of Prince where he's wearing the winter one. It's pink but the same as Laura's otherwise.

Re sizes, I bought cob size for my 15.1 cob cross (quite fine) who wears a 6-6'3 rug and I find that the front part of the hi viz (which is detachable) is too long to go around his chest and the sheet is ever so slightly short across his bum.

The summer one is the "Polite" range and brilliant at making the cars stop and think lol.. that one is yellow.

Both pop on around the saddle and have a fillet string at the back and easy Velcro in front of the saddle. The winter one even has a pocket.

Very happy with both of them
