can you identify my rice trailer please?

HI i was just wandering if i put a pic up of my Rice trailer would anyone by chance be able to identify the model and give me some more information on the towing weight of it etc please? :) There is nothing i can see on the trailer only Rice, Crosby, Leicstershire
It is an older model rear unload.
I have e-mailed Rice and they have not returned my e-mail :( so i am hoping some of you nr may me able to shed a bit of light :)

The dimentions are approx

5ft wide
9ft long ( box only)
just over 7 ft high

originally it was a blue/grey colour

Does anyone know how i would go about getting some plates made up for this trailer? would it be poss to take it to my local weigh bridge and get the plates made from there?
Also sorry to be a pain in the butt but would they be able to calculate how much the trailer would carry etc too? (ie all the info i need on the trailer weight) and how much would it cost?

Contact Richardson Trailers, they are near York. They took over/ merged with Rice and have information on all the old trailers.

Get the chassis number off the front and they will tell you exactly what is it, when it was made, what weight etc.
 
got the info on my trailer - and another question regarding downgrading the mam weigh

Managed to ring rice richardson and gave the nice man the measurements of the trailer :) he narrowed it down to 2, one of them being an eventer trailer :)
The Weight on these trailers are very light (0nly 610kg unlaiden weight with a mam of 1423kg!) ( he is going to ring me to confirm later :) )
My jeep has a mam of 2200kg making me just over the weight limit to to tow the trailer legally :( BUT ........................ i have recently replaced the floor with aluminim ( lighter than wood??) and am wandering if i could have the trailer max weight"down graded" to about 1250kg and if so how would i go about doing this?

Frustrating they haven't responded. Have you tried asking on farm or equipment forums? Folks dealing with vintage stuff usually know old models way better than manufacturers do.
 
@tegan_barker you have replied to a number of very old threads since joining. This one is over 15 years old. Whilst there can be nothing wrong with replying to old threads especially if you have a query. I think you need to be sensible and realistic before you post. Chances are OP has probably sold trailer or may not even own a horse after 15 years. In fact OP doesn't even post on here now.

Check the frame carefully for any stamps or numbers you might have missed. Farm machinery forums would probably be your best bet - folks there tend to know these older models really well.
