Sadly today I noticed that he has what looks like a tumour on his penis. He doesn't often let it down but there is a flattened red lump like a cauliflower size of 50p bled when I had a look at it. He is due his vaccinations soon so will get vet to have a look but at his age, 31, can't see us doing anything surgically.
 
If it doesnt stop him peeing or upset him, leave it. Some vets will tie a piece of cotton thread around the base and it drops off. You could ask about Feldene, which stops further growth in some cases.

We use this method on Bibble. Last year when he let down for vets under a light GA, they could see not further growths, which was encouraging.
 
Vet will have a look at it when she comes to do vaccinations it isn't near the nozzle end on the side half way up and she thought it sounded like a wart rather than anything worse, if i can get an image of it will send to her
 
I can show you Bibble’s gruesome bits photos for comparison, if that helps.

If you see it, when out for a wee, photograph it. Quite often when the vet comes, they won’t let down without an anaesthetic/sedation. Also I can give you the name of a Scottish vet who specialises in this area, if that helps. She is brilliant and resourceful and very helpful.

As well as this he has been ill since Saturday. not passing poo, no signs of actual discomfort, so have put him on the summer field and giving him sloppy wet feed every 3 hours. In constant contact with vet. He passed 9 poos Saturday/Sunday but today only 2 since 7am. they are a bit looser than before so hopefully will improve. Have given him some damp haylage and give him another feed before I go to bed.
