Body Protectors - which is worth it?

Hey everyone,
I've been AWOL for a while but I've been having a look through all the posts recently and wondering why I've forgotten how absolutely amazing the NR forum is.

I've had a bad back for a few years now and my Aerowear body protector seems to make it worse - it's quite stiff to begin with which doesn't help with my back being stiff also. I did have a RaceSafe RS2010 which I loved and seemed much more flexible but since I lost weight, was far too big and I ended up selling it. Instead of jumping back into the RS2010 I'd have a think (I did used to get a bit hot and bothered in the RS2010). My friend recommended the Provent 3 but the other day I saw the USG eco-flexi and thought that looks like it would do the trick for 1/3 of the price. I know RaceSafe are fabulous but wondered if I'm paying for the brand when something like the USG would do me fine.

To be totally honest, I ride the most docile and gentle horse and we mainly hack with the odd poles lesson but I just like my body protector for extra security. I've attached a picture just because I love him so much and I can ??

Any advice or recommendations?

Thanks everyone :-)

So long as their all rated the same you’re going to get similar protection, but really the only way to know on comfort is to go and try them on, including wearing it around the shop for an hour to see if it bothers your back or is uncomfortable.

He’s a handsome chap for sure, and does look very kind ?
