In some of my lessons we do an exercise called around the world. You probobly know what it is.

but you have to take your feet out of the stirrups let go of the reins and your right leg to the horses left side, and then your left leg to the horses right side, and then left leg back were you stared to basically a circle.

a girl at my test said when you get better i wil ave tto do this in walk, and then in trot and then in CANTER!! is this true?

thanks
emziie x

A lunge line is a long rein that you use to send a horse round on a circle. We used to have lunge lessons - that's where your whole lesson has the horse controlled by someone else on a lunge line, while you concentrate on your riding and position.

cool, we do that but with out some oe else controlling, we hae a leader and they run us round that is how i first started, all good now, apart from jumping lol

Holy Coww!! I Mean Horse!!

I have never done that! That would be soooo hard!? Lol well if you have.. just a good luck on that one! Can you she do it yet? cuz if she can tell her she is an amzing rider;)

i remember doing around the world and my pony didnt get on with the pony next to me so just as i got my first leg over and was sitting sideways he bolted in the opposite direction and i went from sitting on a pony to sitting on the floor.

I have done it in walk but never trot or canter!

i couldnt even image doing that it walk!!!!
i am lucky because i donthave to woorry about the horse not getting along with theoe nexxt to me because i am o private x
gotta get my voice going though, s the horse i ride is lazy! she goes with a good shout

We do it every now and then at halt, mostly as a "Coquette, once I tell you to halt, you have to stand still no matter what I'm doing up here" exercise. It's one of the times I prefer my flat seated English saddle instead of my western saddle. ;)

Don't know if I could do it in trot or canter though!

wow!
How do you mount like that lol x
thats cool, dont know how you do it with out a saddle though, because i need to hold on lol x

I have done it in walk but without a leader or lunge line. My older sister slid off sideways when she did it in walk, off an 18.2hh shire, never have I laughed so much. She always put me down being the big sister and it was the ultimate revenge, particularly as it didn't hurt her, but was just totally humiliating.
