It's Monday so another thread about how "wonderful" Archie is Went out again today and I now "think" I know why Archie is so spooky. I "think" he has super sensitive hearing, more so than other horse's.

Quite windy here today but off we went anyway - total idiot at piles of branches but then thats normal for him - he's a "townie" and doesnt do the country!

Two major spooks with all feet off the ground "I'm off" types - all fine and stayed on so thats making me feel a bit more confident. I just now need to get back to solo hacking again - I may try to get out on my own this week - will see you things go. I dot tend to ride at the weekends as its family time with hubby and son.

And we didnt jump the stream today - bonus!

You're doing well!!!! Yes, of course he has super hearing - just like my Stormy has super sensitive vision - she sees things that aren't there !!!lol. Only joking - glad t hear you went out in the wind and lived to tell the tale - very brave!

I'm inclined to go with that one HH. Arnie is very similar. He will freak if he hears things like tractors behind him but if you turn him to face them he is like "oh, okay, I can deal with this".

We need equine earplugs

Funny thing is, he seems more settled in himself atm - quite chilled even though he's getting plenty of spring grass - I seem to remember he did this last year too - he must really hate winter!
