Nope!

This is getting ridiculous now.... 3 events entered, 3 dressage tests with errors of course. ARRGGHHHH
I knew the test inside out and back to front too. Grrr.

But looking on the bright side, the dressage was a disaster anyway so what's an extra couple of penalty points :rolleyes:

Amber was fantastic for the first half but then I went to pieces mentally (again) and hey ho....

I DID manage a 33.5 on Max the day before with a caller so I know I can ride the damn tests. Just not ride and remember at the same time!!

SJ and she was flying....:D

Amber: Fences are 100 right?
Me: No only 80
Amber: 100 is more fun
Me: Please don't. You'll ping me off and it will be very embarrassing
Amber: I'll try to be sensibe..... OOPS. Oh and OOPS AGAIN
Me:

A fairly wild clear which I won't get away with at bigger heights but I'll take it! Woohoo - first SJ clear at a BE event. And a much more straightforward XC course than either Kelsall or Somerford. So double clear?

Sadly not to be. A silly rider error (again) meant a run out (well more of a run past really but we did try to present when I saw the fence late). Just at a totally straightforward rail! I got confused because later on the course there was a rail to a skinny A-B combination and I was searching frantically for B so didn't steer! Or look!

Oh well we had a blast as usual and are learning all the time. And all the problems are rider-related which is the better way round.

Pics of Amber attacking the course with her usual joyful enthusiasm. It is an absolute privilege to ride her.

Stafford next and its the same dressage test. Will I get it right at last?.......

OMG look at her go! Look at her jump! You are SO BRAVE

I have no idea why jumping no longer scares me. I can still remember how terrified of jumping I used to be so it's all very strange and wonderful. My ultimate ambition about 2.5 years ago was to jump the 'big' log which was about 45cm at it's heighest point. It looked HUUUUUGE. Amber gives me wings. xx
