The Health Blog 2014

Well today's lunch is cheese and tom t cakes. With hoola hoops on the side!:p
I just fancy them, but I will make up for them by extra poo picking later. The weathers gone off here today and it makes me eat less healthy food.....

1 lb loss this week which is surprising considering how much I ate and drank over the weekend!! It may catch up with me this week but trying to be extra good to compensate!

Failed slightly on the no smoking over the weekend too, thanks to being too social and drunk!:rolleyes: back on track today!

Well I didn't do too badly over the weekend, considering it was my bday and I could have partaken of much more food and alcohol than normal!lol Today I'm making a mahoosive corned beef stew for evening meal. Lunch will be either t cakes with fish fingers on or beef paste. Not sure which. Haven't bought any crisps so can't eat them if they're not here. Had brown bread toast for breakie which was nice.

How is everyone doing?
I am feeling very chuffed atm. I wore my tiniest black skinnies yesterday and they didn't cut my circulation off and fastened easily! Yaye. If I am being totally honest, its the first time I have worn them without being miserable and uncomfy. I bought them a size smaller than normal and ambitiously thought they would fit. Didn't dare confess to OH as he would have made me take them back and get a bigger size!lol
But, the weirdest thing is - I have been very naughty and had a jaffa cake for pudding EVERY day and at the weekend ate a slice of swiss roll.
Now the only thing that is different is the amount of exercise I am getting. Because OH is so busy work wise I am doing the horses alone - even the fencing, lugging, water bucket lugging etc. Plus I am doing loads of walking as I'm checking the field every night before bed because they are turned out all night now. Also I've been sorting the muck heap out which isn't easy, it has got out of hand and took me two days to move back enough to clear a decent path.

I've not been on the scales for a while, not sure I dare! Although OH and I have been cooking a lot more, drastically cut down on convenience food and had less takeaways. Don't think I've lost much if anything but I do feel better for eating lots of veggies!!
Not felt too well the last week or so, there's allsorts of bugs going around the office but they don't seem to affect me enough to stay home, just make me feel rundown instead!

Will brave the scales tomorrow!!!

That's great jovi! Well done. I am still chuffed about my jeans fitting so well!lol
You know, another thing that has helped me is not snacking in an evening. Because T works most evenings until about ten we don't have our meal until then, but, I've not snacked before hand so think that helps.

I've actually lost 3lbs, don't know why my ticker only says 2!
Hoping it will continue, a few of the girls in the office are doing all many of weird and wonderful meal replacement diets and I'm trying to avoid doing anything like that. Just sensible eating, actually cooking and no takeaways for me!

Don't laugh but I've bought myself some colouring books and felt tip pens, keeps me occupied until OH gets home and stops me snacking! :D

I ADORE COLOURING BOOKS! Thank god someone else finds them theraputic! Haven't has one for yonks, think last time I one was when OH wanted to watch an epic boring film!lol
I am a doodler though - I can do that for hours..........

Righty oh, this year has been another bust :( Although a very small mercy is I am not any heavier now than I was this time last year!

Hitting the big 3-0 in May, need to get some weight shifted before then! I want to be fit and 30.

Bought a Garmin Vivofit tracker in the sales today, in a bid to be more active. It tracks all your movements and shouts at you when you have been sat down too long! Have also ordered some dance fit DVDs and games for the Wii. I plan to do them when I get home from work so I'm not just sat on my bum all evening. Then after evening tea can go to the gym with OH. I keep trying to get him to play on the Wii with me but he refuses :p

This week is one last blow out and getting rid of all the Christmas goodies. I daren't weigh myself at the moment, eaten far too much festive food!

yep I am having a last few days blow out too......I don't need the scales to tell me I am probably heavier than I have ever been!:( I think it is a combination of old age and no longer being a smoker, but enough with the excuses, from January 1st I am kicking myself into touch big time. I am also getting off the internet too, so no excuse to sit around on my fat arse, I will be sylph like by spring!:p

I am pleased to report (insert smug icon) I have lost my half stone required for me to be able to fit into a lot of my nice clothes which have not fit me at all for the past year or so. However, I do still feel I need another half stone off - my black jacket will go on now, but is "snug" across the chest (not sure if there's anything I can do about that!)
I hope we all lose what we feel we need to - bit it a small amount or somewhere in between.

Well done Trews, be as smug as you like!! Hehe
I have a massive 7 stone to lose to be in the "normal" range acceptable to doctors. Although I will be happy to shift enough to get to 11 stone, it's still healthier than what I am now!!

I have still been lurking a little, I don't get chance to be on as much when not at work. Not that I spend all day on here when working....;)

Well had the dreaded post Christmas weigh in this morning..... not as bad as I was expecting!! :D

I'm actually lighter than I was a few weeks ago, no idea how that has happened!

Also very excited at the prospect of riding this year. I contacted my local riding school and their weight limit isn't ridiculously low, hopefully in a few weeks I should be within the limit! Would like an extra stone off first though so I am comfortably under, so that is my first goal of the year. Fingers crossed by March/April I shall be having lessons!! yay!

Hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2015, whatever your goals.

Should we start a 2015 thread?
