Local dealer phoned to say she had two ex trekking centre ponies who didn't really know anything but had had a hard life so being us we went to have a look, really liked one of them so took him on trial. Nervous does not start to describe him, w0uld only walk behind you, no comprehension of aids and generally prefers to stand still but not nasty in any way and loves kids grooming him. Got him long reining and walking leaderless under saddle like a newly started pony. Covered in scars and generally distrustful but good conformation ( Dartmoor Hill Pony 13hh) I suspect we will have him if we can get sensible price!
